Process paper:
I did some research on the topics which Emilio Aguinaldo participated in. I found some basic information about his early life and where he went to school. I found a website that contains a general biography of his life. Also, I found out what he did during the Spanish-American war and how he helped win it. I then decided to find images of these events and made sure they were primary and secondary sources.
I then decided to create a website from weebly.com. I wanted it to be simple and straight forward and not make it fancy in any way. I picked a simple background and setup for the website. I created 4 categories: Home, Biography, Rights and Responsibilities, and the sources. I also found places to put my images on. While I was at it I managed to find a trailer on YouTube of a Filipino movie about the Philippine-American War.
I then got started on writing up the information from my research notes onto the website. I made a summitry of the biography of his life. Then I got to work on what he did for the revolution and for the country. Also some information about the things he did during his time in Hong Kong. He managed to return to Philippines to help U.S troops against Spanish troops in Manila.
Aguinaldo was eventually forced to declare war against the U.S because he refused to let Philippines become another territory of another country. 3 years of brutal fighting later he was captured and forced by the U.S to surrender all resistance. Then he left the public to become a farmer but he managed to give Philippines a taste of independence for a short while.
His dream was finally fulfilled when the Japanese retreated for the islands in 1945. There have been reports of him giving speeches to the troops in Philippines when Japan invaded to surrender and not risk anymore blood-shed. He then took a position in government in 1950 and even tried to run for president again earlier but failed.
